Displacement is not Movement (April 10)
Collaborative residence between the members of Piso Collective during one month at Altes Finanzamt - Berlin.
Displacement Talks (from June on)
Starting on June, Piso will invite various thinker, creators, cultural agents, etcetera, for a series of informal open talks that aim in constituting an eclectic and multilayered discussion core for the thematic of Displacement. This talks will be taking place monthly.
Displacement is Echo (June 20 - July 4)
Soopa residence in collaboration with PISO. Field Recordings in Teufellsberg and studio space in Piso's Studio at the Altes Finanzamt.
Displacement is mapping (July 10)
Pre-production, and preparation of the moving-residence. Contacting with Caravansarai and gathering information useful for the travel and thematic, such as contacting with different people, cultural agents and collectives, from the countries we will be passing.
Displacement is Movement (July /August 10)
Moving-residence, researching and experiencing the physical displacement working "on the road", from Germany, through the southeastern Europe and into Turkey. This experience will try to involve as many people as possible to collaborate with the creators participating in the Moving residence.
Second Part – Production, Presentation and Dissemination
Displacement is remnants (Sept./ October 10 )
Postproduction of the materials gathered during the Moving Residency that will be used in the Presentation of Displacement. Preparation, sorting and organization of the image and text material that will be used in the publication from the project, on displacement and collaboration artwork.
Displacement is public/ Initial Conclusions on Displacement (Dec. 10)
Public presentation of the first conclusions of the "Displacement" project. This event will be coproduced by Soopa and Piso Molhado, and is composed of several different presentations, lectures, concerts and an open format exhibition. It will take place in Armazém do Vídeo (Espaço Campanhã), and in Soopa's studio.
Displacement is manifold (Feb. 11)
One week event with lectures, presentations and workshops on the multitude and diversity of work and different conclusions developed by other people/ creators on thematics contiguous to the concept of displacement.
Displacement is disperse (May 11)
Event that serves as the concluding presentation of the work realized during the "Displacement" project. This sequential event is composed by an exhibition, of the works and materials produced by the artists and other creators involved in this project, and the launch of the publication "Displacement Project", with presentations and talks with some of the authors invited to write critical pieces on the thematic of collaboration and displacement in art.
